TypeVille Call for Papers (ends 12th of January 2022)
Hey Scalar fans!

We have BIG news for you.
Scalar 2022 would have been the 8th edition of the conference, but we decided it’s time for a new opening. We’d like to introduce you to the new format, new place, and new topics of the conference. Scalar enters the TypeVille world!

What’s TypeVille?

It’s the first conference with type safety as the main theme. We invite everyone interested in:
* Java
* Scala
* Haskell
* Kotlin
* TypeScript
* Rust
* Swift
* other type-safe languages

Let’s imagine we all gather in one, big TypeVille village, somewhere in the Polish mountains for a few days. We go hiking and attend workshops, we have time for lectures and long discussions over mulled wine, we simply spend great time together close to nature.

The event is planned for 19th - 23rd of April 2022. More details coming soon.

What about the Call For Papers?

We are looking for anything around the type safety theme that you think might be interesting for beginner or advanced programmers. Are you using type safety in a novel way? Maybe you contribute to a type safe open-source library? Or you are using type safety in production and would like to share your experiences from the field?

Our main goal is to give attendees a portion of practical knowledge during the conference, update people on what's happening in the ecosystem, and start some interesting discussions. We wish to inspire people to explore the type safety ecosystem later at home.

What we offer:
* technical help in setting up the session
* ongoing assistance during your presentation
* a moderated after-presentation Q&A with attendees

Plus, we'll be all hanging out in our TypeVille talking about type safety, Java, Scala, and Programming in general!

The presentations should take 30 minutes.

In case of any questions or doubts, just write to us: typeville@typeville.io; we'll be happy to help.

We will be accepting the best presentations on a rolling basis, so don't wait until the last moment!
